Illness & Ruqyah بیماری اور دم

Adh-hibil-ba'sa rabban-nas, ishfi wa antash-shafi, la shifa'a illa shifa'uk, shifa'an la yughadiru saqama

اے لوگوں کے رب! تکلیف دور کر دے، شفا دے، تو ہی شفا دینے والا ہے، تیری شفا کے سوا کوئی شفا نہیں، ایسی شفا دے جو کوئی بیماری نہ چھوڑے۔

Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind, and heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your healing — a healing that leaves no illness behind. (The Prophet ﷺ would wipe the sick person with his right hand while saying it.)

As'alullahal-'azim, rabbal-'arshil-'azim, an yashfiyak

میں عظمت والے اللہ سے، جو عرشِ عظیم کا رب ہے، سوال کرتا ہوں کہ وہ تمہیں شفا دے۔

I ask Allah the Magnificent, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, to heal you. (Whoever visits a sick person whose time has not come and says this seven times, Allah will cure him.)

Bismillah (3 times). A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir (7 times)

درد کی جگہ پر ہاتھ رکھ کر تین بار 'بسم اللہ' کہیں، پھر سات بار: میں اللہ اور اس کی قدرت کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں اس تکلیف کے شر سے جو میں محسوس کرتا ہوں اور جس کا مجھے ڈر ہے۔

Place your hand where it hurts and say 'In the name of Allah' three times, then seven times: I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel and what I fear.

Bismillahi arqik, min kulli shay'in yu'dhik, min sharri kulli nafsin aw 'ayni hasid, Allahu yashfik, bismillahi arqik

اللہ کے نام سے میں تجھ پر دم کرتا ہوں، ہر اس چیز سے جو تجھے تکلیف دے، ہر نفس کے شر سے یا حسد کرنے والی آنکھ سے، اللہ تجھے شفا دے، اللہ کے نام سے میں تجھ پر دم کرتا ہوں۔

In the name of Allah I perform ruqyah for you, from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul or envious eye. May Allah heal you; in the name of Allah I perform ruqyah for you.

Bismillah, turbatu ardina, bi riqati ba'dina, yushfa saqimuna, bi-idhni rabbina

اللہ کے نام سے، ہماری زمین کی مٹی، ہم میں سے کسی کے لعاب کے ساتھ، ہمارے رب کے حکم سے ہمارا بیمار شفا پاتا ہے۔

In the name of Allah, the soil of our land with the saliva of some of us, our sick is healed by the permission of our Lord. (The Prophet ﷺ would put a little saliva on his finger, touch the earth and wipe the wound.)

Qul huwallahu ahad, Allahus-samad, lam yalid wa lam yulad, wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ahad. Qul a'udhu birabbil-falaq, min sharri ma khalaq, wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqab, wa min sharrin-naffathati fil-'uqad, wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad. Qul a'udhu birabbin-nas, malikin-nas, ilahin-nas, min sharril-waswasil-khannas, alladhi yuwaswisu fi sudurin-nas, minal-jinnati wan-nas

سورۃ الاخلاص، سورۃ الفلق اور سورۃ الناس (معوذات): کہو وہ اللہ ایک ہے… میں صبح کے رب کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں… میں لوگوں کے رب کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں… (بیماری میں نبی ﷺ معوذات پڑھ کر اپنے اوپر دم فرماتے اور ہاتھ جسم پر پھیرتے تھے)

Surahs Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and An-Nas: Say, He is Allah, the One… Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak… Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind… (When ill, the Prophet ﷺ recited the Mu'awwidhat, blew over himself and wiped his body with his hands.)

Bismillahir-rahmanir-rahim. Alhamdu lillahi rabbil-'alamin, ar-rahmanir-rahim, maliki yawmid-din, iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in, ihdinas-siratal-mustaqim, siratal-ladhina an'amta 'alayhim ghayril-maghdubi 'alayhim wa lad-dallin

اللہ کے نام سے جو نہایت مہربان، رحم والا ہے۔ سب تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے جو سارے جہانوں کا رب ہے… ہمیں سیدھا راستہ دکھا۔ (ایک صحابیؓ نے بچھو کے ڈسے ہوئے پر سورۃ الفاتحہ پڑھ کر دم کیا تو وہ ٹھیک ہو گیا، اور نبی ﷺ نے اسے برقرار رکھا)

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds… Guide us to the straight path. (A Companion recited it over someone stung by a scorpion and he recovered; the Prophet ﷺ approved: 'How did you know it is a ruqyah?')

Anni massaniyad-durru wa anta arhamur-rahimin

(اے میرے رب!) مجھے تکلیف پہنچی ہے اور تو سب رحم کرنے والوں سے بڑھ کر رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

(My Lord,) harm has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi 'afani mimmabtalaka bih, wa faddalani 'ala kathirim-mimman khalaqa tafdila

تمام تعریف اللہ کے لیے ہے جس نے مجھے اس (مصیبت) سے عافیت دی جس میں تمہیں مبتلا کیا، اور مجھے اپنی بہت سی مخلوق پر فضیلت دی۔ (آہستہ کہیں تاکہ اسے تکلیف نہ ہو)

All praise is for Allah who has spared me what He has afflicted you with and favoured me over much of His creation. (Say it quietly so as not to hurt them; that affliction will not befall him.)

Allahumma ahyini ma kanatil-hayatu khayran li, wa tawaffani idha kanatil-wafatu khayran li

اے اللہ! مجھے اس وقت تک زندہ رکھ جب تک زندگی میرے لیے بہتر ہو، اور مجھے اس وقت وفات دے جب وفات میرے لیے بہتر ہو۔

O Allah, keep me alive as long as life is better for me, and take me when death is better for me. (The Prophet ﷺ forbade wishing for death because of a hardship.)

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-barasi, wal-jununi, wal-judhami, wa min sayyi'il-asqam

اے اللہ! میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں برص، دیوانگی، کوڑھ اور تمام بری بیماریوں سے۔

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from leprosy, madness, elephantiasis and all evil diseases.
