Prophet Yunus (AS) invited his people to believe in Allah. They did not listen, and he left them before Allah told him to. He got on a boat, and the sea became very rough. Yunus (AS) went into the sea and a big fish swallowed him, but Allah kept him safe inside. In the dark, he prayed again and again: "La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka, inni kuntu minaz-zalimin." Allah heard his dua and the fish put him out on the shore. Allah made a plant grow to give him shade until he felt strong. Then he went back to his people, and they believed in Allah.
🌟 Never give up — always turn to Allah with dua, even in hard times.
Quran 21:87-88; Quran 37:139-148
Prophet Nuh (AS) called his people to worship Allah alone for a very, very long time. Only a few people believed him, and many others laughed at him. Allah told Nuh (AS) to build a big ark (boat). Nuh (AS) and the believers worked hard and built it, even when people made fun of them. Allah told him to take the believers and a pair of every kind of animal on board. Then heavy rain came down and water rose up from the earth. The ark sailed safely on the big waves with Allah's protection. When the water went down, the ark rested on Mount Judi, and everyone came out safe and thankful.
🌟 Keep doing what is right and trust Allah, even if others laugh at you.
Quran 11:36-48; Quran 71
Prophet Ibrahim (AS) lived among people who prayed to idols made of stone and wood. He told them kindly that idols cannot hear, see or help anyone. One day, he broke the idols but left the biggest one, to make the people think. The people knew the idols could not even speak, but they still became angry. They lit a huge fire and threw Ibrahim (AS) into it. Allah said: "O fire, be cool and safe for Ibrahim!" The fire did not hurt him at all. Ibrahim (AS) came out safe, and everyone saw Allah's power.
🌟 Allah is the One who protects us; only He deserves to be worshipped.
Quran 21:51-70
Pharaoh (Firaun) was a proud king who was very unfair to the Children of Israel. Allah told Prophet Musa (AS) to lead the believers out of Egypt at night. In the morning, Pharaoh and his army came after them. The believers reached the sea and became worried: "We will be caught!" Musa (AS) said calmly: "No! My Lord is with me, He will guide me." Allah told him to strike the sea with his stick, and the sea split into two, with a dry path in the middle. The believers walked across safely. When Pharaoh's army followed, the sea closed again, and the believers were saved.
🌟 When you trust Allah, He makes a way out for you.
Quran 26:52-67; Quran 20:77-78
When Prophet Yusuf (AS) was a boy, he dreamed that eleven stars, the sun and the moon bowed to him. His father, Prophet Yaqub (AS), loved him very much. His older brothers became jealous and left him in a well. A group of travellers found him and took him to Egypt. Yusuf (AS) grew up honest and patient, and Allah gave him wisdom to understand dreams. Later, he became a trusted leader who looked after the food of Egypt in a time of hunger. His brothers came asking for food, and Yusuf (AS) forgave them kindly. The whole family came together again, and his childhood dream came true.
🌟 Be patient and forgive others — Allah rewards those who do good.
Quran, Surah Yusuf (12)
Allah gave Prophet Sulaiman (AS) a great kingdom, and he could understand the speech of birds and animals. One day, he was marching with his big army of people, jinn and birds. They came to a valley full of ants. A little ant called out: "O ants, go into your homes, so Sulaiman and his army do not step on you without knowing!" Sulaiman (AS) heard the ant and smiled. He did not feel proud; instead he thanked Allah for His blessings. He prayed to Allah to help him be grateful and do good deeds.
🌟 Be thankful to Allah and care for even the smallest creatures.
Quran 27:17-19
Before the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born, a ruler named Abraha wanted to destroy the Kaaba in Makkah. He came with a big army and huge elephants. The people of Makkah were not strong enough to fight such an army. But the Kaaba is the House of Allah, and Allah protected it. When the army came near, the big elephant sat down and would not walk towards the Kaaba. Then Allah sent flocks of birds carrying small stones of baked clay. The birds dropped the stones on the army, and the army was defeated. The Kaaba stayed safe, and this year became known as the Year of the Elephant.
🌟 No one is stronger than Allah; He protects His House.
Quran, Surah al-Fil (105)
Allah allowed the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to move from Makkah to Madinah; this journey is called the Hijrah. He travelled with his best friend, Abu Bakr (RA). The people who wanted to harm them searched everywhere. The Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr (RA) hid in a cave called Thawr for three nights. The searchers came right up to the cave. Abu Bakr (RA) whispered that he was worried. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not be sad, Allah is with us." It is reported that a spider had spun a web over the cave's opening, so the searchers thought no one was inside and went away. Then the two friends continued safely to Madinah.
🌟 Allah is always with those who trust Him.
Quran 9:40; Sahih al-Bukhari 3653; the spider's web is reported in Musnad Ahmad
One day, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ went into a garden in Madinah. There he saw a camel. When the camel saw the Prophet ﷺ, it made a sad sound and tears came from its eyes. The Prophet ﷺ went to it and gently stroked its head, and the camel became calm. He asked: "Who is the owner of this camel?" A young man from the Ansar came and said, "It is mine." The Prophet ﷺ said kindly: "Do you not fear Allah about this animal? It has complained to me that you keep it hungry and make it work too hard." The young man learned to take good care of his camel.
🌟 Be kind to animals — Allah sees how we treat them.
Sunan Abi Dawud 2549
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ told us a story about a man who was walking on a very hot day. He felt very thirsty, so he climbed down into a well and drank water. When he came out, he saw a dog panting and licking the wet ground because it was so thirsty. The man thought: "This dog is just as thirsty as I was." He climbed down into the well again and filled his leather sock with water. He held it in his mouth while he climbed back up, and gave the dog water to drink. Allah was pleased with him and forgave his sins. The companions asked: "Is there a reward for being kind to animals?" The Prophet ﷺ said: "Yes, there is a reward for kindness to every living thing."
🌟 Even a small kindness to an animal can earn Allah's love.
Sahih al-Bukhari 2363
A companion named Abdullah ibn Amir (RA) told this story from when he was a little boy. One day, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sitting in their home. Abdullah's mother called him: "Come here, I will give you something!" The Prophet ﷺ asked her: "What did you want to give him?" She said: "I wanted to give him some dates." The Prophet ﷺ said: "If you had not given him anything, it would have been written as a lie." This taught everyone that we must be truthful even with children, and even in small things. A true Muslim keeps promises and always tells the truth.
🌟 Always tell the truth and keep your promises, even in small things.
Sunan Abi Dawud 4991
Bilal (RA) was one of the first people to accept Islam in Makkah. His master did not like this and treated him very harshly to make him leave Islam. But Bilal (RA) stayed patient and kept saying: "Ahad, Ahad!" — Allah is One, Allah is One. Abu Bakr (RA) bought Bilal and set him free. In Madinah, the Muslims needed a way to call people to prayer, and the words of the adhan were shown in a dream. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ chose Bilal (RA) to call the adhan because he had a strong, beautiful voice. Bilal (RA) became the first mu'adhin (caller to prayer) of Islam.
🌟 Stay firm and patient on your faith — Allah raises the patient.
