Surah An-Nas Word by Word سورۃ الناس لفظ بہ لفظ
An-Nas, 'Mankind', is the last surah of the Quran. It seeks refuge in Allah from inner harm: the whispering that enters the heart. Allah is described with three titles: Lord, King and God of mankind.
سورۃ الناس قرآن کی آخری سورت ہے۔ اس میں اندرونی نقصان سے، یعنی دل میں وسوسہ ڈالنے والے سے، اللہ کی پناہ مانگی گئی ہے۔ اللہ کی تین صفات بیان ہوئی ہیں: لوگوں کا رب، بادشاہ اور معبود۔
in the Lord of mankind لوگوں کے رب کی
بِرَبِّ النَّاسِbi rabbi an-nas
An-nas: people, mankind.
النَّاس: لوگ، انسان۔
the King of mankind لوگوں کے بادشاہ کی
مَلِكِ النَّاسِmaliki an-nas
Malik: king, sovereign.
مَلِك: بادشاہ۔
the God of mankind لوگوں کے معبود کی
إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِilahi an-nas
Ilah: the one who deserves worship.
إِلَٰه: جو عبادت کے لائق ہو۔
from the evil of the whisperer وسوسہ ڈالنے والے کے شر سے
مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِmin sharri al-waswas
Waswas: one who whispers repeatedly.
وَسْوَاس: بار بار وسوسہ ڈالنے والا۔
who withdraws پیچھے ہٹ جانے والا
الْخَنَّاسِal-khannas
He retreats when Allah is remembered.
اللہ کے ذکر پر پیچھے ہٹ جاتا ہے۔
who whispers جو وسوسہ ڈالتا ہے
الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُalladhi yuwaswisu
Relative pronoun + present verb.
اسم موصول + مضارع۔
into the breasts of mankind لوگوں کے سینوں میں
فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِfi suduri an-nas
Sudur: plural of sadr, chest.
صُدُور: صَدْر (سینہ) کی جمع۔

مِنَ الْجِنَّةِmina al-jinnati

Tips
- An-nas appears five times – the surah is all about people and their hearts.
- Three titles (rabb, malik, ilah) for one request: protection from whispering.
- Al-khannas teaches that remembering Allah drives the whisperer away.
- Compare Al-Falaq (outer harms) with An-Nas (inner harm).
- Recite both surahs after every obligatory prayer.
- النَّاس پانچ بار آیا ہے – سورت انسانوں اور ان کے دلوں کے بارے میں ہے۔
- ایک ہی درخواست (وسوسے سے حفاظت) کے لیے تین صفات: رب، ملک، الٰہ۔
- الْخَنَّاس سکھاتا ہے کہ اللہ کا ذکر وسوسہ ڈالنے والے کو بھگا دیتا ہے۔
- سورۃ الفلق (ظاہری نقصان) اور سورۃ الناس (باطنی نقصان) کا موازنہ کریں۔
- دونوں سورتیں ہر فرض نماز کے بعد پڑھیں۔
