Read Surah Al-'Adiyat (The Courser), surah 100 of the Holy Quran – 11 ayahs, revealed in Makkah. Indo-Pak Arabic text with Urdu translation by Maulana Maududi and English translation (Sahih International), tafsir, word-by-word meaning and audio recitation.
WaalAAadiyati dabhan
قسم ہے اُن (گھوڑوں) کی جو پھنکارے مارتے ہوئے دوڑتے ہیں
By the racers, panting
Faalmooriyati qadhan
پھر (اپنی ٹاپوں سے) چنگاریاں جھاڑتے ہیں
And the producers of sparks [when] striking
Faalmugheerati subhan
پھر صبح سویرے چھاپہ مارتے ہیں
And the chargers at dawn
Faatharna bihi naqAAan
پھر اس موقع پر گرد و غبار اڑاتے ہیں
Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust
Fawasatna bihi jamAAan
پھر اِسی حالت میں کسی مجمع کے اندر جا گھستے ہیں
Arriving thereby in the center collectively
Inna alinsana lirabbihi lakanoodun
حقیقت یہ ہے کہ انسان اپنے رب کا بڑا ناشکرا ہے
Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful
Wainnahu AAala thalika lashaheedun
اور وہ خود اِس پر گواہ ہے
And indeed, he is to that a witness
Wainnahu lihubbi alkhayri lashadeedun
اور وہ مال و دولت کی محبت میں بری طرح مبتلا ہے
And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense
Afala yaAAlamu itha buAAthira ma fee alquboori
تو کیا وہ اُس حقیقت کو نہیں جانتا جب قبروں میں جو کچھ (مدفون) ہے اُسے نکال لیا جائے گا
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered
Wahussila ma fee alssudoori
اور سینوں میں جو کچھ (مخفی) ہے اُسے برآمد کر کے اس کی جانچ پڑتال کی جائے گی؟
And that within the breasts is obtained
Inna rabbahum bihim yawmaithin lakhabeerun
یقیناً اُن کا رب اُس روز اُن سے خوب باخبر ہوگا
Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted
