Oaths قسمیں

اللہ کے نام کو ایسی قسمیں کھانے کے لیے استعمال نہ کرو، جن سے مقصود نیکی اور تقویٰ اور بند گان خدا کی بھلائی کے کاموں سے باز رہنا ہو اللہ تمہاری ساری باتیں سن رہا ہے اور سب کچھ جانتا ہے

And do not make [your oath by] Allah an excuse against being righteous and fearing Allah and making peace among people. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing

جو بے معنی قسمیں تم بلا ارادہ کھا لیا کرتے ہو، اُن پر اللہ گرفت نہیں کرتا، مگر جو قسمیں تم سچے دل سے کھاتے ہو، اُن کی باز پرس وہ ضرور کرے گا اللہ بہت در گزر کرنے والا اور بردبار ہے

Allah does not impose blame upon you for what is unintentional in your oaths, but He imposes blame upon you for what your hearts have earned. And Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing

تم لوگ جو مہمل قسمیں کھا لیتے ہو اُن پر اللہ گرفت نہیں کرتا، مگر جو قسمیں تم جان بوجھ کر کھاتے ہو اُن پر ضرور تم سے مواخذہ کرے گا (ایسی قسم توڑنے کا) کفارہ یہ ہے کہ دس مسکینوں کو وہ اوسط درجے کا کھانا کھلاؤ جو تم اپنے بال بچوں کو کھلاتے ہو، یا انہیں کپڑے پہناؤ، یا ایک غلام آزاد کرو، اور جو اس کی استطاعت نہ رکھتا ہو وہ تین دن کے روزے رکھے یہ تمہاری قسموں کا کفارہ ہے جبکہ تم قسم کھا کر توڑ دو اپنی قسموں کی حفاظت کیا کرو اس طرح اللہ اپنے احکام تمہارے لیے واضح کرتا ہے شاید کہ تم شکر ادا کرو

Allah will not impose blame upon you for what is meaningless in your oaths, but He will impose blame upon you for [breaking] what you intended of oaths. So its expiation is the feeding of ten needy people from the average of that which you feed your [own] families or clothing them or the freeing of a slave. But whoever cannot find [or afford it] - then a fast of three days [is required]. That is the expiation for oaths when you have sworn. But guard your oaths. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be grateful

اللہ کے عہد کو پورا کرو جبکہ تم نے اس سے کوئی عہد باندھا ہو، اور اپنی قسمیں پختہ کرنے کے بعد توڑ نہ ڈالو جبکہ تم اللہ کو اپنے اوپر گواہ بنا چکے ہو اللہ تمہارے سب افعال سے باخبر ہے

And fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have taken it, [O believers], and do not break oaths after their confirmation while you have made Allah, over you, a witness. Indeed, Allah knows what you do

تمہاری حالت اُس عورت کی سی نہ ہو جائے جس نے آپ ہی محنت سے سوت کاتا اور پھر آپ ہی اسے ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر ڈالا تم اپنی قسموں کو آپس کے معاملات میں مکر و فریب کا ہتھیار بناتے ہو تاکہ ایک قوم دوسری قوم سے بڑھ کر فائدے حاصل کرے حالاں کہ اللہ اس عہد و پیمان کے ذریعہ سے تم کو آزمائش میں ڈالتا ہے، اور ضرور وہ قیامت کے روز تمہارے تمام اختلافات کی حقیقت تم پر کھول دے گا

And do not be like she who untwisted her spun thread after it was strong [by] taking your oaths as [means of] deceit between you because one community is more plentiful [in number or wealth] than another community. Allah only tries you thereby. And He will surely make clear to you on the Day of Resurrection that over which you used to differ

(اور اے مسلمانو،) تم اپنی قسموں کو آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو دھوکہ دینے کا ذریعہ نہ بنا لینا، کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ کوئی قدم جمنے کے بعد اکھڑ جائے اور تم اِس جرم کی پاداش میں کہ تم نے لوگوں کو اللہ کی راہ سے روکا، برا نتیجہ دیکھو اور سخت سزا بھگتو

And do not take your oaths as [means of] deceit between you, lest a foot slip after it was [once] firm, and you would taste evil [in this world] for what [people] you diverted from the way of Allah, and you would have [in the Hereafter] a great punishment

ہرگز نہ دبو کسی ایسے شخص سے جو بہت قسمیں کھانے والا بے وقعت آدمی ہے

And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer

رہے وہ لوگ جو اللہ کے عہد اور اپنی قسموں کو تھوڑی قیمت پر بیچ ڈالتے ہیں، تو ان کے لیے آخرت میں کوئی حصہ نہیں، اللہ قیامت کے روز نہ اُن سے بات کرے گا نہ اُن کی طرف دیکھے گا اور نہ انہیں پاک کرے گا، بلکہ اُن کے لیے تو سخت دردناک سزا ہے

Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their [own] oaths for a small price will have no share in the Hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them or look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them; and they will have a painful punishment

تم میں سے جو لوگ صاحب فضل اور صاحب مقدرت ہیں وہ اس بات کی قسم نہ کھا بیٹھیں کہ اپنے رشتہ دار، مسکین اور مہاجر فی سبیل اللہ لوگوں کی مدد نہ کریں گے انہیں معاف کر دینا چاہیے اور درگزر کرنا چاہیے کیا تم نہیں چاہتے کہ اللہ تمہیں معاف کرے؟ اور اللہ کی صفت یہ ہے کہ وہ غفور اور رحیم ہے

And let not those of virtue among you and wealth swear not to give [aid] to their relatives and the needy and the emigrants for the cause of Allah, and let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful
